Holiday Tip #4 For A Rejuvenating Time

December 27, 2018

For my tip #4, here is a simple, but difficult for some, exercise

Take a themed walk, no shopping allowed!

I think that it became too easy to get new things nowadays. When I say “get” I mean “buy.” I was listening to two women, older than me, a few days ago. In the Christmas shopping spirit, they were chatting about how things were so different few decades ago. They were explaining that people used to save money and ideas of much-needed things to buy for the Christmas time.

They were feeling like today, we are creating needs for things to have as many presents as possible under the Christmas tree. People can so easily have the things they need, that they even don’t consider them as extraordinary presents. I think that the worse is, as everyone is getting what they need as soon as they want it, Christmas or birthdays presents have to be things they even didn’t need in the first place.

It’s time for sales now, and everybody is rushing in the megastores to find the deals. I’m just reminding you this simple question you can ask yourself before buying: “If it wasn’t on sale, would I need it?”

Take a themed walk instead

Find a map with a themed walk in your neighbourhood or your hometown. There are a lot of them you can simply find on the Internet for kids! Not only the children will learn a lot, but you, having kids or not, will have a good time, or, at least have some fresh air.

Look for Geocaches. You don’t have to be an expert on that, just try the easy ones. Maybe you’ll become an addicted pro, but it can simply remain something occasional and fun you can do to change your routine.

You can find happiness anywhere, wandering shops is not so much fun especially when the place is busy.
