This is my last of the 12 Holiday Tips for this year holiday break. Tomorrow is back to school or work for most of us. I hope you’ll take some time today to enjoy my last tip. Today it’s about the place you give to the word “new” in your life.

Visit a place you’ve never visited before, close to your home

Tomorrow, 2019 will officially really start. Set your mind for newness this year. It’s time to practice going out of your comfort zone. Visiting a place you don’t know will train your mind to be more open to new things. The unknown is what makes you alive. It’s the surprising pinch of salt. The unusual, the unconventional make the ordinary become extraordinary.

These new events make your brain being active again by stopping being on auto-pilot. Better make these surprises be chosen positives events rather than unforeseen bad surprises. At least you’ll be better prepared for the later if you are trained to new on a regular basis.

Make a list of places you can visit within half a day from home

It’s another to plan for the new year: make a list so that when you have a little free time during the weekend, you can visit them instead of staying home in front of the TV all afternoon on Sundays because you are too exhausted in advance by the coming week.

It was the last tip

I sincerely hope you had a good time trying some or all of these ideas to spend some quality time with your loved ones. A new year is here, with it a full lot of new ideas projects, and goals. How exciting it is!

I wish a happy new year and hope to see you often!
